Community Guidelines
Write freely. Write human. Be kind.
Inkwell is a small, quiet place for real people to put real words into the world. There's no algorithm to game, no likes to chase. In return, we ask for very little — just that what you publish is yours, and that it doesn't exist to hurt someone.
What belongs here
- Honest, personal writing — essays, poetry, fiction, letters, diary entries, arguments.
- Dark themes, grief, anger, doubt, desire. Real feeling is welcome here.
- Strong opinions and uncomfortable truths, written in good faith.
- Your own words — typed, or scanned from a page you wrote by hand.
What we'll never host
Posts are checked before they go live. These get blocked — or, if they slip through, removed.
Hate
Slurs or attacks on people for who they are — race, religion, gender, sexuality, origin.
Harassment & threats
Targeting, intimidating, or threatening a real person with harm.
Incitement to violence
Calling for or celebrating violence against people.
Harm to minors
Any sexualisation of children. Zero tolerance, no exceptions.
Unlawful content
Instructions for serious crimes, or content that breaks the law.
Deliberate lies
Knowingly false, defamatory claims about real people presented as fact.
Spam
Bots, mass-posting, ads, link farms. Inkwell is for writing, not selling.
On AI
Inkwell is for the thoughts of a person. You're welcome to write about anything, but writing that appears machine-generated will be marked “AI”so readers know. Write badly and honestly over writing that's polished and hollow — we'll take the former every time.
Your words stay yours
You own everything you write. Sign it with your name or post anonymously — your call, every time. We don't sell your work, mine it, or feed it to a machine.
