driving through hyderabad

I drove through old Hyderabad the other day, the narrow streets and the crowded markets, the smell of the food and the perfume, the sound of the horns and the chatter, the way the city seemed to come alive, the way the past and the present seemed to collide, the way the old and the new seemed to coexist, the way the city seemed to be constantly changing, the way the streets seemed to shift and morph, the way the landmarks seemed to disappear, the way the city seemed to be losing its memory, the way I felt like a stranger in my own hometown, the way I felt like I was driving through a dream, the way the city seemed to be a maze, the way I was searching for a way out, the way I was searching for a way back.
