my grandmother's day begins before dawn, with the soft murmur of prayer, a quiet ritual that fills our home with a sense of peace, the sound of her voice a reminder that some things remain constant, even as the world outside changes, I think of her now, and the way she'd gently wake me for fajr, the first light of dawn, and I wonder what it means to have a grandmother who prays five times a day, a woman whose faith is a cornerstone of our family's life
