the color of memory

the color blue, keeps appearing in my life. it's the color of my grandmother's sari, the color of the sky on a clear day, the color of the walls in my childhood home. it's a color, that's both calming, and unsettling. a color, that reminds me of memories, i'd rather forget. but it's also a color, that brings me peace. when i see it, i'm transported to a different time, a different place. a place, where life was simpler, where love was easier. my grandmother, used to tell me, that blue is the color of the soul. that it's the color, of the divine. and when i look at it, i feel a sense of connection, to something deeper. something, that i don't fully understand. but it's a feeling, that i've come to trust. the color blue, it seems, is a thread, that runs through my life. a thread, that weaves together, memories, and moments, and emotions. it's a color, that i'll always associate, with my grandmother, with my childhood, with the memories, that i hold dear.
