a photograph not taken

i remember the moment, the light, the feeling. but i didn't take the picture. i was too caught up in the moment, too caught up in the feeling. as i think about it now, i realize that it's a moment that's lost forever. it's a moment that i can never recreate, never relive. but as i sit here, surrounded by the silence, i start to feel a sense of peace. maybe, just maybe, some moments are better left unphotographed. maybe, just maybe, some moments are better felt than seen. as i think about this, i start to think about all the times i've taken pictures, all the times i've tried to capture a moment. i think about the way the light falls, the way the shadows dance. i think about the way the world looks, the way the world feels. and as i think about this, i start to feel a sense of wonder. wonder at the world, wonder at the moment. wonder at the way things can be felt, but not seen. as i sit here, lost in thought, i start to feel a sense of connection. connection to the world, connection to the moment. connection to the feeling, connection to the light. and as i feel this connection, i start to realize that it's not just about the photograph, it's not just about the moment. it's about the feeling, the feeling that remains long after the moment is gone. the feeling that remains long after the photograph is taken.
